Get to know the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at Hata Digital. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving data-informed decisions by analyzing market trends, user behavior, and product performance in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Your insights will directly influence product strategy, development, and optimization.

• You will work under the Product team — On-site role, location based in Semantan (close connectivity to all major public transport systems).

• This role will involve data analysis and interpretation of market data, trading volumes, and price movements to identify potential investment risks and opportunities.

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract and develop clear, data-driven reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

• You will translate data insights into actionable product strategies and ensure compliance with Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) guidelines in all product outputs.

• You should also be expected to stay abreast of global FinTech and crypto trends, market developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the cryptocurrency space.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing products in the company's portfolio.

• Track key product metrics (e.g., user adoption, transaction volumes) and propose improvements.

• Support A/B testing and feature validation through data analysis.

• You will also undertake cryptocurrency research on your own which entails fact-finding, compiling information and writing relating to the cryptocurrency industry.

Ideal candidates will have:

Background:

• Higher education qualifications in Computer Science / Finance / Actuarial Science / Economics / Business and Management.

• For professionals: Relevant educational background or working experience is a plus.

• Strong English proficiency and writing skills are required.

• Passion for Cryptocurrency:

  • A genuine interest in and passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.

  • Basic understanding of cryptocurrency concepts, trends, technologies and regulatory frameworks.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong analytical skills – Experience with data tools (Excel, SQL or Python).

• While experience is beneficial, we value a strong willingness to learn and adapt.

• Familiarity with Google Suite is a plus.

Adaptability:

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
